Multi

Anyone else having problems with multi again? It’s trowelling up like chewing gum and pulling it off the wall absolute joke
Yeah had a funny couple sets the other day real greasy seems like it’s going off but then won’t trowel up. And when it’s on your hawk it f**k**g slides all over the place. Start of winter skimming load of shitee

For those of you who don’t know me I work for BG and we need your feedback on any issues you are experiencing and also when you have good material.
Could you send me a photo of the bag which shows the details on the side, the problems you are experiencing, the substrate and any other comments that could be helpful. On the good bags just a photo of the bag details and say that it’s good. WhatsApp is probably best way and my number is 07525 672782.

Cheers
Gary

So you know there’s a problem if your asking for pics of bags so you’ve got the batch numbers?

Or they'll then see that the dodgy gear regularly comes via certain merchants. Do you ever hear anyone say they've had shite gear from Wickes? I can't remember hearing it.

Multi was good when it first came out, unfortunately BG spend too much time developing niche plasters, pure, magnetic etc and forget about the core day to day product that everybody uses.

It’s awful if BG know there putting out sub standard bags of finish it’s tradesman’s reputations and lively hood on the line, not everybody is going to complain about having a shite batch, because BG pretty much have the market to themselves they know we don’t have any options to go elsewhere for gear so they don’t care and your plasterboards have been wank since @Casper had hair

No, so they can check if they get complaints they can check if its a batch and the data they’ve got on it.
I had the same yesterday on a boarded ceiling two coats fresh second mix.
Wouldn’t have said it felt greasy but tore in quite a few places, I had to use plenty of water to get a finish (I prefer to use as little as possible) and found that it set a lot quicker than normal (not that that’s a bad thing).

Thanks Steve, fed that back

It’s like glue again mate going black everywhere but still feels wet and greasy really getting the urge to jack it all in and do something else
We've got two packs of Multifinish on our current job and it has been working nicely, until earlier this week when the temperature dropped, it then worked like completely different gear.
I think moving the water tank indoors and letting the water reach room temperature helps massively, as does a bit of dry warmth.

I might try that mate see what happens although the customer has been and got more bags

Probably been about 18 months since I’ve had dodgy multifinish it really is pot luck mate with it
