Wouldn’t surprise me that Carlite finish was so much better than that s**t when we had the shortage in lockdown

Never liked multi, carlite finish could be a bit greasy at times, my favourite was grey board finish. The plaster up here in Scotland was grey both backing coats and finish I've often wondered why it changed to pink.

I first used multi in about 97, up to that point it was carlite finish and board and both were grey. I do remember we did a job around 1986 where we were metal lathing steel beams ready for plastering and it was pink. It was called metal lathing plaster and the under coat was very much like pink bonding, the finishing plaster was like pink carlite. While I'm at it british gypsum renovating plaster/finish was pink, but it was only only used after damp proofing.

The daily stuff would be grey, I've got a memory of our plasterboard having a grey plaster core, plus the paper outside was grey.

Nearly October now, adapt, Gypsum is a natural product and changes with the seasons. It's not as consistent as something like an adhesive tape where different batches can be made almost exactly the same.

Brand new plasterboard ceiling to do.
Must of gone over it 5/6 times and every spanner to get it something like.
Felt like jacking it all in!
Roll on next week I can’t wait!

Don't worry BG will have their Top team investigating as we the customer are their Top priority and will let us know their findings asap.
Unfortunately as they have to get off their fat arses it will mean an extra pound on the price of a bag!!
