Log burner question

What size is your room John? I’ve got a 5kw multi stove My room dimensions 4.8m x 4.5m then a bay window on top of that and it gets very hot even when it’s closed down. Like Tom said anything over 5kw and you’ll need air vent.
Here’s my log stores that I knocked up with buck shee timber and pallets, you’ll need a few to rotate drying.

That’s a tidy log store nothing like mine.

All those poor Asthma sufferers are going to be suffering...every f**ker I know is getting one of these installed to save on energy cost. Some are burning trash. BJ can kiss his climate change targets goodbye we will be like Shanghai in 10 years.

What A ginger China man

Summet like that
My dad has one similar. Works a treat. Would definitely make one if you have the pallets available. Just need a cover to stop the rain. My uncle has a massive log store on his property. Similar to a gazebo in shape. Roughly 4 x 4 metres of a canopy roof on 4 big legs. All 4 sides are open for air flow

Has anyone used that vistas heat resistant stuff? We had to plaster an entire 20m wall at 35mm because they wanted the finish flush with the fireplace
Omfg it’s like using concrete the aggregate is massive try ruling it lol, once it was on the next day it’s pretty much like spar the amount of chipping sticking out and it sets absolutely solid you can’t just scrape it back nicely for skim, we tried anyway and used the finish and it looked terrible the painters refused to paint it haha, so we ended up reskimming it with multi completely defeating the point of it :LOL:
Yes mate been there, the skim is like floor levelling compound. Takes forever to set and cant get a decent finish, i wont go near it now!

@John j
The chimney needs sweeping every year so your insurance is all ok .
That’s another £100
I used to get a chimney sweep for the first couple of years £50 a sweep then thought b*ll***s bought a kit online for about £60 do mine then my dad’s I just use a cordless drill. But it’s worth buying the cover for the door saves a lot of mess.
Not rocket science.
