Alright lads. I just had back surgery (Microdiscectomy) so I'm not gonna be handballing skim on anymore. I'm not here for the old 'don't use a spray machine cu*t' comments just want to see what others think of the STX405

I'm buying one this week and I wanted to know if anyone has used it to spray render materials and if so, which ones and any tips for me?

I can't afford a bigger machine because I've been off work over a year with this injury so I'm buying this machine with a view to upgrade in another year or so.

Any other tips and advice appreciated

I would guess that when they say that this machine will spray skim, they are talking about Knauf M75 projection plaster.

You’re still going to need an air compressor, 19mm material hoses, air hoses, and a gin that will spray skim you probably gonna be looking around the £5k mark for all of that id look more at the pft swing or eze with a skim setup. But personally would entertain the idea of spraying skim

Spoke to a few company today about the machines finance options available with bank statements and accounts at the ready… roughly around the three hundred mark for 4 years .. certainly wish I bought this first instead of the daft expensive car I don’t drive..

All in it's £3k so not horrendous still quite a bit less than a ritmo for example

Nah it literally does spray skim I've seen it in videos but thistle spray finish would be good as well I guess

You can’t compare that to a ritmo, it’s like comparing a rolls Royce to a push bike. Save your money pal and don’t buy it you’ll regret it
