I am based in Aberdeen Scotland.
Looking to do a course on external wall insulation.
I am willing to travel to anywhere but would prefer closer to home if possible

30 years ago it was worth learning. the last time I was offered any it was not worth the effort. it is not the sort of thing to do on your own I worked in large gangs. the other thing is that every system is different so we where always on a course for each product.
I believe that Weatherby use to run a course for beginners.
You don't have to be a plasterer to fit EWI. that does not help keeping the prices up.

Go and work with a gang and get a feel for it, before you get accredited. That’s How I started out 20 years ago, it stood me in good stead.
It’s the sector to be in with heating prices on the increase, epc c ratings on private landlords coming down the line.

I have experience in coating 20+ years
I mostly dry dash houses, sand and cement, dash receivers.
Also do thin coat and scrap coat.
We have a good squad of 3 not big but all skilled, between site work and private we do anything from 30-45 houses a year jumping back and forth between site and private/local jobs.

As @owls mentioned about the change in epc rating I think it’s time to add ewi to my experience.
I believe England has announced the epc rating changing for landlords, it won’t be long until the change happens up here.

It’s just being on top with the regs as well, ie details around boiler flues, u values on different substrates etc.

Hi All if you complete EWI then perhaps consider the SWIFIX solution, a new and innovative solution that allows the securing of all those items of furniture from satellites, lights, alarms, gate posts etc... to be refixed after the render is complete www.swifix.co.uk the most commercial solution available in the sector.

Have you considered paying to advertise on the forum?
