Anyone know of an ocr that doesn't micro crack but is a small grain size. Ms20 is the best but is very course and doesn't leave a smooth finish. I've tried weber and ecorend but always micro cracks

they are all prone to it.
i use jub carbon base. not the cheapest.... but its fine.

i did have mirco cracking last week but was south facing and 1st area rubbed went white before i got to the end

Had micro cracks on a cement board wall, topcoated regardless, told the client that as it’s timber stud not metal that hp12 and silicone should accommodate micro crackage . if built right , should all follow on and be right !!

You talking to me Pete?
Everyone mate rendaid is good , i agree with Dan too most ocr do see some cracks even the Smet does but most of us slap it straight onto old brick work , rendaid first it’s always a better job I feel anyhow , especially if the op has tried a few types and had same issue
He could even try a primer , ecorend advice a primer I forgot what it’s called but no one seems to use it before applying there ecorend basecoat, it’s in the literature if read it

To be honest Pete I don't think there's anything that will 100% stop micro cracks. We almost always apply Rendagrip first, put full mesh in the gear as well as fibres and still get cracks.
In fact we sometimes decorate our renders and apply stabiliser before the paint, and this will show up loads of cracks you would never have known were there.

Never had a single crack! Only amateurs get cracks :numberone: received several awards from no more crack society, you lot are terrible tradesman!

Bet he’s had a few cracks on a Saturday night after the slow dance records at end of the night
