Hi all. Worked in the building trade from a very young age (labouring in school summer holidays for extra money). Left school went on to college to train as a joiner and worked in joinery for many years, then shop fitting and then self employed.
In my 50's now and although I left the building trade some 10 years ago, I still do the occasional job for people, normally for free....
Been renovating a house for a number of years and very interested in these new one coat render systems. They fascinate and scare me at the same time. The thought of rendering the side of a house with OCR and not knowing how it will turn out would have me lying awake for nights.
Have turned my hand to most trades over the years, although plastering/rendering is not something I've ever done much of so joined here to hopefully get some help and guidance from the experts.
Thanks for reading this.

My advice to you would be to start off with some garden walls. OCR is okay but it’s only really advised to use in one coat onto fresh blocks.

Ya can't cut wood like a wood cutter wood!
Stick to joinery yee old bat and get on chippies forum!
