house prices in london

The house prices are high but mortgages are cheap, most are not paying mega thousands in interest like when it was 15% mortgage rate

The house prices oop north are rising and going to rocket soon - Boris's big plan will ensure it - cushy well paid salaried civil servants moving out of south to new northern hubs/ports, increased strategic roads making it easier to commute from everywhere, fat housebuilders expecting to charge same prices/profits for new builds as in the south.
Local working class wages will rise a little but not enough.

Really? You can get a 3 bed house in decent condition in Newcastle for 100k

Don't do it zippy .stick it out.when I had a big mortgage .it used to stress me out . Your kids don't appreciate wot you do so they can live in a nice big house. If it all goes tits up , which it does . Mend and make do . Chip away at your mortgage.

I get what you saying but it’s got to happen, won’t hit 40 unless I can get another room to have some night care for the kids... 3 hours a night is not sustainable

looking at a 2 bedroomed terraced house at a place called addiscombe croydon, anybody know this area,
priced at 350,000, looks okay work to do but the price, what kind of an area is croydon, is this price the average, who is the local football team west ham/ brentfordorient, need help on this one

so how does any young couple get on the housing ladder, how does any working class person afford these prices and mortgages, just looking at houses and cost in london, and to be honest what they were selling for and the prices being asked , and the houses themselves, honestly i just dont know how our southern freinds do it,

Not easy...no option but to live in a less desirable area and have to charge £250 - £300 a day.

I was listening to a story the other days plasters charging 500 a day down south... If wages are as high would level out a bit more...
Were so conditioned to get in a mortgage and live beyond are means that we forget living simple is more fun and a happier life..
