Skimming Buckets

Good evening gents , looking to get a decent skimming bucket with a handle , I’ve got a Refina 50 ltr , just wanted a 30ltr preferably with a decent bottom not those thin flimsy ones from Wickes Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thx

To be totally honest , I do a lot of domestic plastering , & cant always mix up in the room I’m working in , so if I’m outside mixing up & have to carry a 30 ltr bucket of muck up the stairs it’s a lot easier with a bucket with a handle on

Collomix. I got given 2 free with a wack order about 8 years ago. still no sign of the first one wearing out and the others still sat in the lock up. Built to last.

I’ve had this all year holds 2 bags toolstation! About a airsen senna or maybe a squeeze more can’t remember (y)

Thanks for your thoughts on this , I’ve opted for the Refina as they’ve offered free delivery

I have no affiliation with P1, but credit where it's due - their Putz buckets are decent - add the reasonable postal costs to the Putz / 1stop buckets and you'll probably still find them competitve.

Collomix 30L bang on

Ramboo or tw wholesale

Bloody strong buckets

That looks like a good quality bucket. Are the handles nice and strong? We still lift onto a spot board.

Yep,
Had mine 2 years and there is no sign of strain or stress where the metal handle meets the plastic bucket, like you get after a month with the normal ones.

Do they do a bucket for 2 bag mixes mate,i have refina buckets but gotta say the 30L looks a good quality bucket may get one for jobs that just require a bag mixed here and there

In 10 years self employed I've never mixed up outside unless I'm doing their hallway and it's a nice day. What would ever stop you mixing inside?

Yes but they're a different bucket, exactly the same as the Benson ones but for more money.

Had my Benson buckets for years (65L), takes a good two and half bags of multi or board.

Benson went out of business, I think Taylor tools and another couple of companies are the same buckets rebranded. You can still get them though,

Also the Refina ones are still OK.

I prefer to mix outside when doing a ceiling as i want all the space , unless is a decent size room. then move inside after to do the walls.
