Advice on dot dab + plaster job

Hi, first post for me as we have had a job done recently but we have concerns about the standard of work!! Hope you don't mind me asking, I don't know who to ask for advice. Our plasterer says it's fine and will not be noticeable or crack after painting so is telling us to crack on. What do you think? These are dot and dab walls with what appears to be an extremely thin layer of plaster on top. The lines between boards are visible and painter says emulsion will show these in the light. We can feel the scrim tape between boards in places.

Many thanks in advance

There's not much wrong with that..if ylu seen caspers work you would be delighted with that finish, from what you have shown would take about 1 minute max to sort..f**k all wrong

It looks fine to me. Skim is pretty much a thin decorative coat anyway, especially on board. That crack could be filled with filler as could the place where you can feel scrim and then sanded. No big drama.

That’s what a bad job looks like!

It's always the decorator throwing shade about other people's work. They've got a chip about not being a real trade. If you can piss you can paint

boils my piss with bad decorating mate. Had it recently
Had one last year when he was painting it himself, got himself a sprayer out the s**t in the middle from Aldi or Lidl it’s a piece of piss with them says the retired scaffolder. I shuddered, 10m by 7m boutique bedroom with curved 3/4 height studs for the en-suite and walk in wardrobe. So one big ceiling, the paint was on thicker than the plaster from when he was day dreaming. It’s only had one coat that. Giving it another tomorrow, not seen it since, be like skimming over Artex if you re skimmed it. :rayos::sick:

I had a customer doing my nut in after i skimmed 2 bedrooms for him asking me the water to paint ratio for mist coating what emulsion to buy,I said your gunna balls It up get a decorator in or buy some bare plaster paint from screwfix or something

The VAR is not conclusive.
