Leasing is the way to go if you want to drive new and good spec. I know as I’ve done it often enough. 15k miles a year for no extra money. People need to get over the mileage b*ll***s and the lease payments. FFS it’s a brand new van with the latest tech and a full warranty.
I get it but still don't want to owe money for stupid things as general wear and tear that's why I thought about asking first, definitely plastering is not the cleanest trades, I keep my van very clean but I think I would have panic attacks when with brand new vehicle

Knickers!!!

I’ve got a Vauxhall vivaro on hp 16 plate.. had it 4 years.. away to get a £2400 electrical fault!! f**k**g raging. The days of simple repairs are slowly drifting away.. everything’s going electrical an bills will be a fortune, cars are basically computers. Lease a new van.. got warranty an pay a monthly bill. Who gives a f**k if it breaks. Buy it an this could happen. Or hope your lucky you have a good van but in the end the big bills will catch you.

Are you talking about me spending a weeks wages? Well let me explain. My weeks are 3-4 days. My van is paid in 2 days. It’s top spec and f**k**g great to drive and turn up at domestics in. I really can’t understand tradesmen driving piles of ageing junk. They need to have a word with themselves.
Yeah turn up in a great van but then you posted pics of your shite plastering

Which sort of let things down a bit if I'm perfectly honest

Stevieo. Away and take you face for a shite.

Now there’s a man that knows the score!!

18000k at £300 a month for 5 years,
10k 3 year old ex lease at auction run for 5 years with out fault and you own it and can sell for a few grand at least towards the next one.

I buy 2 new transits l2 h2s every 3 years, buy one outright, one on hp with a deposit.
Then after 3 years chop them in for new ones, all under warranty.I claim the vat back as one lump sum. there half the value so that’s the deposit and on it continues, it actually works out cheaper than leasing,(which I’ve done before) and there’s no mileage limitations etc.
I’m the same can’t understand why fellas drive sheds around, if your earning the coin. Buying new vans outright or on hp is very tax efficient, I’ve had 6 new vans in the last 9 years and they’ve hardly cost me anything and that’s owning outright as I’ve got them against tax.

Some people don't believe in finance or debt
And a 3-4 year old van still like new and some one else has already paid the depreciation for you,

Hehe I drive a 2012 transit...bought it in 2016 for 12K....no maintenance yet and I reckon it will go without issues for another 10 years...so thats under a grand a year..only 57K on the clock...if you buy at the right time SH is alot cheaper than leasing plus no need to worry about it getting bashed and having to cover for the damage...just leave it and run it into the ground...brand new van at a customers house bad idea they will think you are expensive.

How do you know it will sail for the next 10 years? I had a decent Ford was fine 4 years then bam electrical faults left right n centre so f**k*d it off and got a shitty little partner for £5500

That’s good Freed. It’s nice when the van does the job and costs you next to nothing. I can’t really knock that. However as for turning up in a new van at a customers house....That’s the best first impression!!! And as we all know the first rule in business...FIRST impressions are everything. We are all being judged.

if i seen a guy turn up to price a job in Nice van I wouldnt think god I bet he's expensive id think there's a guy who's got it going on,but then there's casper

Yea it's a tricky one mate impressions are important but you always here from customers he turned up in this, wearing this etc...I think you can go over the top with too flash and put certain customers off best to be in the middle.
