Trowels...

Morning Spreads,
I am looking for a bit of advice if i may, please.

First off, I Am Not a plasterer, i dabble as and when. Completed a 4 day starter course a few years ago and still learning :). Mainly on my own house and friends and family.

I am going to be doing a bunch of work soon and want some new toys.

Currently have MT 13 and 14" (14 not had much use tbh) and a Tyzack 13".

I am about to push the button and by myself an OX SpeedSkim SF 900mm with adapter for pole, i was going to get the felxi one but thought i should start off with one to help get flatter sooner and help me with larger hits.

Question is, should i bother with a new trowel too? I am thinking of a Refina s*p*r*lex or Plaziflex for them final stages.

OR,

Should i just stick with my MT?

Cheers

What trowel did your course teach you to use?

Use your Marshall town to get it on and flat then finish with a refina super flex 16” easier than finishing with a marshal town. Refina takes couple of weeks to wear in but when it is it’s nice!

I’m looking at buying a new putting on trowel guys , what’s a good finish putting on trowel these days I’ve always used tyzack but fancy something different but not a marshell town ,

When I started off 27 years ago plastrers only had one trowel and the work was spot on. OK don't get me wrong the new trowels are supposed to help the joint and body. But it like anything else money making!
