Yes sometimes just the two. No speedskim, just put on and laid in neatly and two passes with an MT Permashape.
It gets exactly how many it needs to achieve the right finish, be that two, or four trowels. Four would be very rare indeed.
I have absolutely no interest in polishing/shining work up, it's not supposed to be.
100% agree I do the same there maybe times where it might need more than 2 trowels I dont need to flatten it as such as I lay it on nice and neat anyway scrape any s**t of the ceiling line and angles leave it to pick up abit trickle of water on the edges and angles then 1st trowel leave it to pick up abit more water on the edges and angles again 2nd trowel and it's done really polishing the wall is optional really some times I do sometimes I dont

If a customer says ohh I want it shiny and oh I love it when its all smooth and shiny
.I'm shining the s**t out of it,don't care if its not meant to be there have asked so il deliver shine.you can't tell some people there think your fobbing them off and if its not shiny and smooth there will complain.i couldn't give 2 hoots if paint dosnt adhere to the wall and needs a extra 2 coats of paint, not my problem and I've been paid leaving what there have asked for and thinking is right.its ill informed on there part thinking it needs to be like a mirror

If a customer mentioned shininess to me they'd get a full explanation if necessary, including being shown the relevant text from the NHBC, BS and BG.

How do you know if its the first bad batch or second good batch?...are the bags any different?

I'm gonna need to get back to graft soon...
Just not looking forward to scrambling about looking for multi, might be forced into using this gear :frenetico:

So this gear has went from total shite,to very good in batch 2. ?

Very surprised how good it looks once dry went over board today which I found a bit trickier but hopefully good when dry.
They do a board plaster as well, never seen it or heard anyone saying they have tried it.

I have tried the board finish but probs wouldn’t use it again now as there new multi onto board is faster. Iam plastering a church hall with the New MG as the Customer couldn’t get 30 bags of BG. I was A bit unsure at first about doing the big high walls with it but its looking nice I’ll upload some pics tomorrow. The white finish is
