Get second one on just as setting. Too slow and it bubbles as won't stick to itself. I sponge the first one if drying a bit quick especially board. Tell you you truth I ain't got a clue what I'm doing, so just banging on but it's the second skim timing I'm stuck on, ive got no idea of setting times. Not sure I can be assed to learn new tricks

Used it today over make good bonding watered down pva then good to go .plenty of water doesn’t need flex or plazi once it changes colour then hit it with water. Very impressed with it goes miles as well.

Get it on tight and stay on it. Fill everything out first, it does set quick. Keep it neat . Once you've got it flat and angles tidy leave it be. Finishes well with a plazzi or s*p*r*lex
Do you mean just like one coat pal or do ypu lay it in

Personally I'd fill beads out and coat scrim then one coat then a very early pass or speedskim. It doesn't like any thickness and turns quick. If over skim then same principle; fill any hollows and fill out first. First passes early, last passes later than you'd think

Looks good bud , can you describe your process. Fresh gear for second coat? Did you let it pick up etc

First gauge used same mix although it was setting in bucket after 20 mins total time 1.30 hours 2nd gauge used fresh gear total 2hr gauge no difference in either gauge just get plenty of water once turning colour .

Didn’t have to wait for pick up as it flattened in great but it was over make good bonding .

I take it by them times your using the 2nd batch

Second batch is Like your using completely different plaster compared to that First batch. It’s thicker and the sets done in hour n half. Dries out A lot nicer aswell with the white finish.
In that time that must be same mix ,and it drys to smooth finish this time? not like the sand texture from first batch

Ye mate Same bucket of stuff to 2nd coat. At first I thought this isn’t going to look nice, but the last 2 trowels take it from looking ok to a mint flat finish. 1 with flick of water when it’s changed colour. Then a hard dry scrape at the end really finished it off.

First batch was wild rotten and finish was not good.
Didnt set as one, soft bits, bubbles, rock hard bits, it would be good if the set and finish is good in new batch.

But is it better or comparable quality to multi, batch 2.
Batch 2 is defiantly comparable. U just have to make sure to fill out all tape and beads properly first! I reckon MG has 1 or 2 less trowels overall than multi But it needs 2 hard trowels to finish it off nice! and I would say the white finish when dried is nicer than the multi. Multi is nicer to spread on

I sometimes finish BG Multifinish with just two trowels, hardly ever more than three, so I'm looking forward to this stuff taking one or two less trowels. But then it needs two hard trowels to finish it off nicely, I'm confused.com.

Never tried it but like the idea of all those 20 min breaks wonder what batch 3 will have to offer!watching with great interest

Once u have got your second coat on with multi, u then finish it with just 2 more trowels? Really!?

Do able if you have a speedskim,if I've got a flat wall its gets 2 speedskim passes when wet as soon as I've layed 2 coat on,as its then flat as I leave it 4 20mins then a pass with medi and a final with s*p*r*lex.finished.how many times do you play around with it? 2 to 3 times is more than enough

Yes sometimes just the two. No speedskim, just put on and laid in neatly and two passes with an MT Permashape.
It gets exactly how many it needs to achieve the right finish, be that two, or four trowels. Four would be very rare indeed.
I have absolutely no interest in polishing/shining work up, it's not supposed to be.

Don’t use a speed skim mate. First flatten with marshaltown After 2nd coat. Then 2 with a flexi trowel when it’s still wet. Then a hard 1 with flexi at the end
