Stone foundation

Hi
We are renovating an old stone thatched cottage which was cement plastered in the 60s. The old stone drains around the house had collapsed years ago so the house was sitting in water. We opened all the drains around the house and removed the cement render and pointing. The house has dried out really well over the last few months and we are in the process of lime pointing it. We plan to put French drains in all around the house but do we point the foundation stones first? We have found no evidence to suggest they were ever pointed before. As the house was sitting in water, the gaps between the stones in the foundation were full of mud and weed roots which we raked out. Any help is appreciated!

not realy an issue if its been sat in water the joints should be really hard

So do you not think there's any need to point the spaces between the stones? There are quite big spaces as the stone they used to build the house with certainly weren't flat! We have dug out inside the house to the same level, we plan to put in geocell wrapped in geo textile membrane below a limecrete floor. Thanks for your help
