Which plastering job is better and why?

I also should have joined this forum a long time ago so i knew what to expect and what to look out for. I accept that as my mistake

What's the difference between using a product like one time red devil filler or a bag of easi fill apart from one being ready made?
Just want to make sure i buy the right product and avoid any more mistakes?

Not used Red Devil, but looks like it's premixed and ready to use and probably has similar use to easi fill. Easi fill comes in large bags or individual sachets which you have to mix with water.

Wear a mask as it will produce a lot of sanding dust.

Hi,

Advice and opinions from all experts out there
Had a skim done at my house, that was bashed by a friend. He has sent me a picture of what a 'proper' plastering job should look like.
What do you guys think?
Mine is the one thats dried out with the exposed floorboards. He has had a garage plastered.
Well you can see he wasn’t a plasterer simples init

Bout 450 done in a day half get what you pay for don’t you

I have attached pics for close ups of the job as requested. I have come to the decision that's its fair to say that the plasterer has had a royal flush in taking me up my behind because he is not answering my calls.

I will go with your advice and get a mist coat on and check how bad it is , however, i will have alot of 'making good' or even maybe reskimming on some walls.
Before anyone says 'you get what you pay for, he wasn't cheap and he wasn't expensive; BUT HE WAS A CHANCER ( which i didn't spot obviously). I had never used him before
It was a skim on walls of a 3 bed semi.
Thanks for all the replies
Any advice on correcting some of these catastrophes would be appreciated
Whether a job is done for £500 or £5000 it should be done to a high standard by a professional Plasterer, there should be no need to buy easifill or any other filler to fix a balls up like that.

Re skim it for £500

I stayed courteous and respectful to him the whole time. The last thing I'd want to do to someone whose working on my house is piss them off (not good for me). I swear that wardrobe wasn't like that before, he just didn't have respect for the house. To be fair to him, he did look like he was going through alot of personal troubles(always shouting on the phone).
However, if you all believe a bag of easi fill can sort this, then i will follow your advice.
I'm getting the impression I'm being too picky.
Thanks
You are not being too picky! Looks to me like he didn't give a hoot, very poor workmanship, don't pay the c**t.

Hi guys,
First of all, i want to thank everyone for their advice.
After applying my mist coat i have attached pictures of the results. I used a 70 /30 ratio of leland contract matt. There have been specific parts that haven't covered and a few splash marks of pva i presume?
How do you advise i tackle these issues?
I have tried researching this and have realised theres conflicting advice. I would like to mention that i have only put one coat on atm
Thank you

There are stages of troweling a finish up. A final stage rarely done is dry trowel. Brings the surface to a hard shiny polish and painters hate it as the paint can’t key in and takes several coats or roughing up with sandpaper. Looks like a couple of small polished spots got caught out this way as dried out quicker prior to trowelling up and got polished. Doubt it is PVA?

Sorry , i apologise for not explaining the situation clearly. The final pictures that have the spots on them are walls that HAVEN'T been mist coated. That is how my walls were left in that room after a skim job, which is why i presumed they were Pva splashes.
The first 3 pictures are the results of my walls after a mist coat.
Thank you
