Sourcing Plaster....

I don't know if I logged in. Probably did. I use brave browser mostly but tried chrome and both worked but auto logged in I guess. Anyway. Now you know how to look up. B&Q got nothing as you can look at map for uk. Shows a few bags but thats stock error imo

I’ve managed to get 20 bags of this, Customer where I’m working doesn’t want the job to halt over couple of hundred quid extra cost and hold it up for months. £18 a bag, been and collected it they got pallets and pallets of the stuff. Anyone got any idea if it’s like multi, it’s used and sold in Ireland so presumably just bagged different?

It’s apparently very like multi ,

Wouldn't be a bad thing if plaster did cost £ 30 bag, we dont pay for it, it's in the price... they seem to know plaster is cheap, but dont know how far it goes, so 4 bag room, tell them it take 6, 60£ on top of price already...not do bad..
Not really pal because I charge them that and more anyway.i dont charge them what a bag actually cost,if bags do cost £30 I can hardly then charge them £60 a bag

Long green Bristol B&Q showing 74 bags. No click and collect. Hour drive for me which is too far

I'd ring before you drive anywhere mate
Girly in Wickes told me they stock shelves after they're shut because of social distancing so to check on website at 7.30 and queue for ooening
Could ring day before and ask if it's in
Bedford and Huntingdon have blocked my number lol

Wickes Barking Extra. 220 bags. Get there early. Guess they are shut now?

Am I helping doing this. It's like a lottery waiting to see if any turn up around me at which point I pack it in. That's a lot though. 220 bags.. gee

It's very helpful. I ring Wickes Swindon once in the morning and once in the Eve. This morning was cut off, checked website 92 bags showing but none when I went there. It was an error they said, so worth calling beforehand (if you can get through) . Like someone mentioned b&q are one step behind Wickes which surprised me. And my hunch is that most is going straight to site or to the secret bunkers of merchants, with morse code messages sent out to their bigger customers when it arrives. British gypsum CEO statements were coming thick and fast at first, but nothing since last Friday now, the last statement being that production was ahead of planned targets, but that doesn't seem to have materialised.

Guess who drove to Bristol this morning for the many bags of multi showing as stock :tonto:
Managed to pick up some bonding though and ready mixed which I'll use next week on some walls to turn a buck. The search continues. Still puzzles where this plaster is going? They actually making the stuff or what?

When theres no click and collect option mate it's because its already been pre-world through click and collect orders the stock changes when orders get collected

@Stewie03 no click and collect for some products to stop bulk buying online. You have to grab yourself from store.

Sorry, this product isn't available to buy online at this time. Due to Covid-19, we're limiting our online range to help maintain supply of core products.

Went into Wickes today just on the off chance no plaster in sight
Spoke to one of the staff in there they keep 2 pallets back for their own Kitchen fitting team the rest goes in the shop and it’s a free for all with people texting friends to pick them up five bags.

I'm with you. Getting fed up of first coating with board adhesive, although enjoying a rest between coats.

There's probably loads being bought for resale on ebay/gumtree. In a few weeks when all the supply pipelines are stuffed full and its on sale everywhere, those proffiteers will be caught with their pants well and truly down. I bet there's some that don't even know it has a date.

I wish these posts would get completely removed tbh sick of hearing about skim it will be there when it’s there stop been a set of selfish f**k**s! The guys in the factories and drivers ect have families too I’m pretty sure there doing there best!! At the end of the day it’s in there interest to get every outlet stocked for there own profit!
