Mental money lol, can't believe they've done that tbf

Joke really shouldn't of been done..and you shouldn't be able to work aswell, but no tax return 4 nxt 2 years I suppose
Totally agree. It's ridiculous, but the problem is some sectors are f**k*d and need help so what could they have realistically done? If they said you can only claim if you aren't working, all that would of happened is loads of cash jobs or people just thinking well I'm not working if they're paying me to sit in the garden

I'll take every penny as I know the tax will make me pay for it...also I dont feel guilty as its affecting me massively, mrs is a teacher and starts up proper next week so I've got to work Wednesday- sunday for the foreseeable to share drop off and pick ups as no before or after school clubs

Ouch, doubt there'll be many kids going back either. Every parent I've spoken to has said f**k that.

The union for teachers rep at my wifes school has said theyll sue them for breach of health and safety laws if they open on monday and expect teachers back...dont know which way it will go but its turning into a bit of a dog fight at her school

Don't blame them, it's f**k**g pointless. 6 or 7 weeks of learning is going to have such a small effect long term if any

I think there should be a system in place where you get taxed a certain % of how much government money you have taken out as theres people who have had £0 out of it and some who have had nxt to f**k all but every1s guna have same tax increase, dsnt seem fair,f**k knows how you would work that system like but I'm not paid to make or think of them things going fward

I agree, if that was the case I'd have took nowt and just riden it out. Sadly it's too complex to implement so they couldn't do it...wish they could have though

Might be harder for us to get this one I'd say this could be for more hairdressers etc that's been told.To stay at home still. Weve been told to go back so we mightnt qualify? Or at least as easily

It's a grant so not means tested or anything, will be same as last time, tick a box to say you're affected by it

self.employed is having it right off at minute... 70% for another 3 months and can still work.

me.and my lads are having to do short weeks everyweek coz of delays and shortages. but i cant afford to furlough everyobe for 3 weeks or will loose chance to get materials or lose jobs as cant carry them out.

this covid has left us small businesses high amd dry while the self employed are creaming it in on almost double pay for 6 months

It's bizzare, I'd have happily had 3 months and that was it and let people like Dan above have 3 months too

exactly... we have 4 of us employed and couple subbies full time.

in this game were all doing 2-4.days a week as and when jobs can be done. cant furlough or we will lose the work.and the materials. all while subbies are spreading and getting double bubble

should of done it say 70 per cent accross the board and still work if you can blanket the lot.

theres a reason they are flooding the self employed with money but im not sure why

i know even people who dont work got extra in universal credit. and nothings changed for them.

ive paid my employees 100% wage everyweek since this started. and havent had 1 furlough payment at all.
yes we can get loans but why loans when others are grants
