I've a medium sized domestic job coming up for float and set but been a while since I've priced one everyone seems to go for dab and skim these days, what's the going rate float and set in the north west? Cheers

Ffs..your a robbin bastardo :frenetico: ....
There was a guy on here years ago would do it for a sheep fleece and three bags of chicken lips:sisi:
It was the financial crash that killed that, fleece was fatally devalued and chicken lips..... well you know the rest.

Last big floating job we did for a subbie we got £8.00 labour only

There are no rates in domestic, look after your own end, if someone does it cheaper then let them.
Asking for rates for a domestic job shows that
A. You've no experience in pricing
B. No experience in the work your pricing for
C. Your going end up cheap and not so cheerful

Yes domestics you name your price you roughly now how long it's going to take and how much the materials will be in 10 minutes of being there . Well I did when I did them years ago

I know I'm comparing apples and pears, back in the late 80's/90's we were getting £10-£15pm f&s and £5pm for skim.
Been domestic so long well out of touch with site work.

Back in the 90s we was getting £3.00 float and skim and that was good. Most big firms were paying less and that's no bullshit either. That was early 90s

Wow £3 for two coat work even back then, our worst was £2.25 for skim only.
