I take it you actually mean external walls?
If so why wouldn't you do the bathroom the same, or even better spec?
Yes , external walls/ internal face , might wait for plumbers first fix then I can fit timbers that won’t be cut through or in the way , I normally didn’t insulate bathrooms , but want the place nice and warm , it’s the BTL

the bathroom looks a tight space.
you could consider lime hemp or eco cork floating systems both claim to be insulating.

Watching you getting stuck in John is getting me all motivated to get some works done at mine too , seems like you are taking no prisoners atm cracking on at your place

We are doing the demolition bit whilst waiting for plumbing nd electrical first fix , doing a few small jobs in between

I'm doing my bathroom out soon and debating between batton out and insulation batts or just fixing insulated p boards straight on and tiling the lot after, heat exchange unit sounds good too its got 3 big external walls so a coldish room.

I went with the 2x2 timbers and fifty mm insulation in the bedrooms as it was goo for the electrics and plumbing , still deciding re the bathroom , will look into heat recovery
