Hi all, Looking at a new mixer in the new year.

Mainly finish work these days but still the occasional float and set. I don't want a cordless drill and i'm mainly domestic so looking at 230v.

I'm stuck between the Megamixer MM30 or the Collomix X06. Anyone had experience of both and can recommend the better one? I'm leaning more towards the Collomix at the moment.

Cheers fellas

Personally I'd get an Eibenstock. Basically the same machine as the Megamixer, but cheaper.
I have got a Collomix X04 and it just doesn't feel as good as the Eibenstock.

Megamixer the things a beast! Go for the smaller one if you’re only doing 1 bag mixes.

Dewalt cordless with two 9ah batterys will do you a treat, over the 37 years of plastering I've bought and used many makes, Flex are my favourite plug in but dewalt or metabo cordless wil do you for domestics a treat, dewalt even if on hardwall buddy.

Dont see the point of cordless on doms

I stopped working for doms without electric decades ago, you need to aim higher, if you are doing the odd renovation you can hire a mixer or genie for the duration.

LOL. Decades ago? Bore off, I was onto you from day 1, and the second I seen that trowel and how you held it in the video I had my confirmation. You fooled a fair few here but I knew. They've all caught up now.

You work in a warehouse. You started doing some DIY around the house a few years ago, she told you it was great, and ultimatley that lack of honestly is what ruined your marrige.

You got 10,000 leaflets printed of VistaPrint and off you went, you and the dishonest wife. Bet she hated them late nights. But the phone started ringing, before you know it you're being asked if you can plaster. Started taking on more than you can chew and boom.. you was away.

"Told you Dave, It's happening, f**k this warehouse, I'm going to be a tradesman" from cleaning gutters to writing off reveals, on you went.

Confidence high, depsite the negative reviews, you felt like a real entrepreneur, fingers in pies... then came the tape idea and the rest is history.
