Evening Guys.

I'm renovating the Kitchen, and today, I've ventured from patching plaster, to doing a decent sized wall.

The wall, is in an old building, and was plaster at the bottom, middle was where the tiles were previously, and then a very rough, gritty finished Artex.

I Put a wash of PVA on the day before, and went on with 2 coats of Multi Finish, finished with a Refina foam float, and a Refina Plazi.

I was really pleased with the finish, until I looked a few hours ago and found a fairly large foot Square blister.

It seems the plaster has not delaminated from the Artex, more the Artex has delaminated from the plaster below that.

Totally gutted, as I was proud as punch.

Any thoughts as to what's gone wrong?

Thanks

Harry

The artex obviously, if you've scrapped it the moisture from the pva and plaster has got into it. Sometimes your lucky but with experience you check it while the pva is drying to see if any bits have gone soft.

Your face when it falls off mid coat.

the simple answer is you aint a spread[plasterer that is ]

just knock out the blister and patch it out with some one coatplaster, it will be fine.
good on yer for having a crack at it.
Thanks for that fella - much appreciated

I take nothing away from you lads who do this for a living. It's incredibly skilled graft, and pyshically knackering.

Big up,!

f**k one coat it's utter dog s**t gear. Just use multi and keep the edges of the patch clean and wet as the multi around it has dried out. Pva the inside of the patch and wet the new plaster use fresh water to clean of the edges don't let any dirty water run down your new skim wash it off or you'll have water marks.

Why one coat plaster
The guy has said both the artex and the skim has come off the wall.
one caot will fill it in one with no f**k**g about .
Its only a small patch, stop pretending its anything more than a fill in job.
Bullshit may baffle brains but it dont baffle me cos ive got none!

Turns out there's more holes in your plastering knowledge than your tape.

Mate I've spread hundreds of metres of that shite, it was flavour of the month on a couple jobs back in the 90's. Its shite believe me.
NO WONDER YOUR SELF EMPLOYED. you aint got a fu,cking clue you wanna lick the sides and spit round the edges wait a bit and f**k about, just fill the f**k out and on to the next job.
you would last thirty three and a half mins with me and the n out the f**k**g door, bullshit workshy f**k*r
