why you always want videos, i am still waiting for yours?
Lol , I did actually do one at the time , but didn't notice it fell over and I got 20 min of looking at a tub of PVA and the start was too dark to see any detail , I'm not skimming all the time , I do the building work as well , take into consideration I only work maybe 2 months a year as I don't really need the money since the kids left home and I spend zero . I do a lot charity building , but don't think I have no experience , i grew up rendering , screeding , etc my dad and grandad were spreads , only been skimming the last 20 as I considered it poofters work when I was young.
I do feel guilty , but not enough to get off my backside and build a stage for you., am booking my cs test on Monday and soon as I'm sorted and on site I'll sort it , I assumed it wasn't crucial as 99% of spreads wouldn't need to be shown

Will certainly give it a go , I've worked in homes not houses and have a mental issue with cutting corners .

One roll only ! Very tight ! Hope it doesn't get lost in the post !
Ha ha , don't he get some stick , good on him for putting up with it tho .
Ive been sticking beads in first coat for 40 y
( render as well ) , couldn't possibly bring myself to compromise what I believe to be the best , fastest method but will give it a try for him , only on site tho , its a method which is more suitable for those who use a lab to prep and nobody touches my walls , I never let me dad PVA first coat for me
@tapit , I'll only give it a go on a couple of window's so don't need a " hole " roll , and give it a proper , fair test

I take it, that It, be your Mum that PVA's for you, first coat anyway ?

My smallest set of stilts start around the same height. I’d struggle using them on some of my jobs with the state of the floors, boards missing and walls been took out.

I'm home today with cits..gee. Self employed with illness causes all sorts of problems....Anyway. Walk talk stilts have arrived and been running around house no problem. I tried standard stilts some years ago that were too high for me as im 6 foot tall, plus I felt unsafe. Think the weak point to these is if you let the front foot go inwards when walking. That's my only worry, but so far they feel fine and I've worn for the last hour.

Lighter than my crate n tape , smaller footprint probably reduces the ankle issue I mentioned
Anyone tell me the standard height of new build houses please ?

Think you mis read mate im same!

Could tell you height of most different era houses walls, gables etc.

Dont know how people would not know!
Yes I definitely misread you mate. I put it down to spending too much time reading what this bunch of crazy c**ts write.

Or live in a house?
Lived in old river mill , a coach inn c1600 , etc , currently 3 peasants cottages knocked into one , not one had a level floor , have rarely worked on site , they were scaffold, most my work is in old buildings with 8-10' ceilings so I've always made up my own tressles or 2 crates with packers and scaffold board to suit the room

Was it haunted ? In your opinion ?

Update..
Been game changer for me. Bought some good stuff this year and I'd say this is one of them. Get them tight with straps. I'm 6 foot tall and these are perfect for me. Still need plank and stools to put kit on, but nice to move freely
