What is going on with multi finish!?

I’d never really had a bad batch and secretly thought you were all just a bunch of whiney bitches for aaaaaaages. But I nearly always use BF.

Then I picked up multi because couldn’t be arsed to wait for them to bring a pallet of board down and f**k me did I have a couple of frustrating days. It hung and hung and hung. Teared. Then it dried patchy and looked s**t and felt rough/powdery to touch.

So my bad for thinking you’re all old grouchy blokes with a flair for hyperbole! God knows where I got that notion from!;)

I had some bags that left grit in bottom of bucket when I was cleaning it out. I just leave first coat longer and put tight second coat on and leave it longer and seems fine

All this talk of "grit at the bottom of the bucket" puzzles me greatly.
When plaster was decent, all those many years ago, it was 100% coarser than it is now and always left plenty of grit at the bottom of the bucket. I'm not talking about large bits of grit that are a problem, it was just generally coarser.
This all changed when Multifinish was released as it had to replace Carlite Finish, which was capable of dealing with the high suction of Browing. Carlite Finish was always known for showing up all the water marks and drying out very much how multi does now. And I'll tell you now that no spread back then would have chosen to use the slimey, snotty (sound familiar) Carlite Finish on anything other than a high auction background. If you use multi over Hardwall it works absolutely lovely.
IMHO Multifinish has gotten even finer over the years, making it even worse to use on low/medium suction backgrounds.
Now here's the bit that baffles me most; BG have at some point decided to make Board Finish finer than in the past, this can, IMO, only be for financial reasons.
So in summary, 90%+ of plastering work carried out is on new board, PVA or a grit type product, all low to medium suction (at best) and yet the plaster we have to use is best suited to high suction backgrounds.
@The Apprentice @BritishGypsum any comebacks to my thoughts?

@The Apprentice tested gear for me twice and tests came back as faulty product.

Jesus Christ if anyone else starts one of these multi finish threads I'm gonna hang myself!! Yes it's not the same and probably never will be just plod on and carry on doing it the way you done it for years customer happy you paid next job! f**k it!

Abit of job satisfaction would be nice. Customers notice drop in quality too, was working for a regular kitchen fitter Monday, he walked in as I'd almost finished and gave it a quizzical look, and I said yeah I have issues today. He was worried if it would paint up alright as it's a high end kitchen and fussy customer, I couldn't really guarantee it, streaky as f**k

Why not do shares , surely the odds are better

No the odds are exactly the same but don’t tell the crew that.

1 bet win £10 @ 10/1 = £110

6 people put £10 each. 1 bet win £60 @ 10/1 = £660

£660 / 6 people = £110 each.

Exactly the same just more horny with more people, like an orgy.
