Hi,
We have recently had a plasterer in to make good after some rewiring.
He mentioned something about how electricians usually leave the sockets off so that he can plaster properly. The electrician said he couldn't possibly leave them off as there was a couple of weeks between electrician and plastering.

There are some gaps around the edges of the sockets and I don't know if I should be happy with the work or not!

The plaster work itself is good - just the sockets!

He should have just backed them off. Any gaps could have been got with bonding if they were big enough. Still like the guys say, easy to remedy with filler. One fill is good stuff

Electricians a lazy sod who's full of s**t. Wanted to get out and get paid as quick as he could

This is where the Yoozy boxes come in, been using these for a few years now. I use 50mm drywall screws and then you can patch with no worries of it getting into wires etc, small tool for in between sockets then when fully set and hard unscrew and refit no cleaning out. If the original screws are too small as Fatarm said then use the 50mm screws as a temporary until spark can sort it or customer buys new longer ones.
