Tapit tape fail

Thats unfortunate, the beads were all taped nicely horizontal on last pics but on todays one looks slap dashed at an angle, also i can understand the tape coming away from the plaster but never off the bead itself.
i have a piece taped to an outside wall which is still there after three months in all weathers.
i also taped some beads up last week and skimmed yesterday no probs.(pictures to follow}
All i can do is apologise mate.
The tape sagged that’s why it looks out of level on the pics. I didn’t touch anything I literally walked in saw how they were and took a few pics.
The tape had pulled off the bead more than the old plaster.
No need to apologise to me, you sent me out a roll to try for free. Iv tried it and given my honest opinion with no bias either way.
If it had stuck better there would be a market for it IMO
Also some of the holes in the tape still had the center in place, whatever machine punched the holes didnt make it fully through.
Make it more sticky and we’ll try again

ok mate, someone mentioned on here that some beads were oiled not sure if that is true?
Also i agree the quality of the tape is not A1 yet {china} but the concept is good and i am at the moment in talks with a UK tape manufacturer.

Sometimes you get a discolouration bleed through and someone mentioned on here once it’s due to what they cost beads with to stop them sticking together or something to my memory

I'll have to say it you ain't a plasterer!!! You are a diy er we have been watching your posts... Get a life kid you smell of loser all day.... Diy er not plasterer... Everything this trade don't need.. Bad boy laboure

Oh I just saw this.

No I'm not a plasterer. Very observant of you considering I always clearly state that I'm not a plasterer [/sarcasm.]

Plastering is part of what I do working for property people. Landlords and small investment people.

It's the part of the job that I like best though.

Your problem is what exactly?

Many years ago my labourer told me an idea!! I laughed and now it's in my mind !! I said don't be silly you daft fo%=King t**t....
And.....
To this day
I was right.... Silly t**t....

Literally couldn’t make this up. Honestly I can’t even find the words. Keeps posting f**k**g pictures rather than deal with the fact his shitty tapes s**t

The idea of testing with you guys is to iron out the gliches so all is good.
The tape is dead, long live the tape!

Oooh stop it

You'll get no help off her, you ilitterate bell end.

Fun fact, there's two 'r's in labourer.

Not that I'm a labourer because I don't work for anyone. Look a prize prick knocking up gear with no-one to put it on the wall, wouldn't I?

Not get much out of the customer doing that either.

Now if you've been following my posts, you'll realise that the dung heap awaits you.

Just ask *******.

Sorry @tapit but after my positive review Friday here comes a negative one.

I walked into the job this morning and the beads were all loose, the upright had fell off and the head of the window had fell off.

I can't believe you're skimming over that tbh. I'd at least have scraped off the old tile adhesive. I don't mind a few handfuls of bonding in with multi but I wouldn't be going over that personally

My concern would be that the adhesive would be proud more than the bead...

My thought aswell. The walls are f**k*d. Think people just can't be arsed to prep a room properly anymore

You would just dot them prouder than the adhesive, not tape , for sure.
Yeah exactly. Taping, tacking, stapling, however you want to do it shouldn't be done over that. I'd probably bond all the walls and put beads into the bonding. Or scrape all the adhesive off first, depends how well it on there
