Even the tape on the horizontal bead had come away.
Anyway not too bad I thought I’d crack on and tape them back on maybe it just doesn’t like to be left over a weekend.
This time I taped length ways down the beads, very generous strips to hold them tight in place.
Unfortunately during the first coat the tape started to peel off the substrate and stick up through my first coat, I couldn’t pull the tape off because it was too long it would have caused me some right hassle.
So right through the set iv been battling with corners of tape sticking up, edges of tape riding up as I’m troweling it’s been a bit of a nightmare to be honest.
Sorry @tapit but I won’t be using it again.
Might sound brutal but i was honest last Friday and just being honest now View attachment 39480

Stone the crows. Love it. I occasionally use ridiculous dated phrases straight out of biggles books for effect.

Ye God's man, what have you done?

I'll have to say it you ain't a plasterer!!! You are a diy er we have been watching your posts... Get a life kid you smell of loser all day.... Diy er not plasterer... Everything this trade don't need.. Bad boy laboure

What gets me is he expects others to prove the concept with no back up frorm a technical or liability point of view. When asked he laughed it off, now we know it doesn't work as intended and the person that finds that out is someone likey @Tinytom. But yeah we're all negitive and just don't understand.

Bit harsh, bit rude that mate. Try telling him something he doesn’t know! He never said he was a plasterer but to fair any pictures he’s shared haven’t looked at all bad, and saying that there’s only a small few on here that ever share pictures of work

Just received a roll for testing. We will put it through its paces at our depot

Will need a number of rolls to test to make it a fair test. We won’t be introducing it to our range until it had proved its worth in the field and passed our tests
While your testing it in the field chuck it off the top of cleave Hill ..lol

Just giving my opinion!! Just as they have of you don't like it block me, seen plenty on here talking shite.. So tapit tryed to make a new product one review means nothing! Give the lad a chance!! Most plasterers struggle day in day being self employed.. No wonder no one tries.. A piss take is one thing don't let it become a witch hunt... the kid gave out free stuff and posted it!!

Thats unfortunate, the beads were all taped nicely horizontal on last pics but on todays one looks slap dashed at an angle, also i can understand the tape coming away from the plaster but never off the bead itself.
i have a piece taped to an outside wall which is still there after three months in all weathers.
i also taped some beads up last week and skimmed yesterday no probs.(pictures to follow}
All i can do is apologise mate.

I’ve nothing against tapit or his tape bud. There’s about five or more people taking the piss about it, you should get personal with them too, I mean don’t discriminate ! Even up the playing field!

I see your intentions and they’re all good. I’d shake your hand. Steve dishes it out but takes it too. No blood no foul there
