Blue Grit - before or after taping

Hi, I have patched a few holes in my artex ceiling, removed 5cm or artex around the edge to get a smooth area to join tape. Planning to blue grit the ceiling before skimming. Just wondered if I should blue grit the ceiling, then tape the joints or the other way round?

If you don't know the answer to that question I really worry for the finish on that ceiling

Why be a bell end? This is a DIY forum. Bugger off if you don't want to help. Go to xhamster or something and jack off.
Just stating my opinion. The question your asked was so basic and you're about to attempt a skilled job. You already got the answer to your question I was merely trying to make you think twice about messing up your ceiling... But enjoy, and enjoy the end result.

Who are you going to tell? All your mates use this site or something?

Just everyone in general. You know. Anyone every asking a question I deem to be basic, I won't tell them. That way I can feel superior about really insignificant stuff. You know, when my kid asks me what the stars are, I will tell him that's a basic question. I will tell him the most basic question I will field will be, what's the difference between fission and fusion?

It’s not a diy forum is it?

I'm planning on changing my head gasket tomorrow. Just wondering do you know if I do it with the engine running or off? Btw pretty sure "what is a star?" is a much tougher question than what's the difference between fission and fusion... What a star is, is incomprehensible to most of us. But anyway I think we're going off piste. You done that ceiling yet?

Will do... I'm off now to tell people only advanced questions are allowed from now on... right?

Keep having a go for a bit then chill like water off a ducks back.

Always remember as a teenager walking into the body shop side of the garage where my dad was getting an mot done. Asked the sprayer for some advice on an old mini I was working on. Gave me a right load of abuse, then I asked him if he wanted a cup of tea, and switched the kettle on. He pissed himself, and I spent about an hour watching him respray a car and he gave me loads of tips.

Surely common sense tells you the answer....I dont get a lot of questions on here cos surely just thinking the process through would answer it for you
