Apologies in advance if I'm going over old ground...

Is anyone else finding that the streak's in multi finish are getting worse?! Whether it be over board, hardwall, re skim etc, litteraly finding now ( after 4 buggered up streaking walls) having to let finish go almost to the point of bone dry before any water at all touches trowel or wall, as soon as I even begin to think about bring the brush out the water any sooner it streak's all over the show and the game begins to try and trowel the nuts off it to get rid of them!!
Any advice welcome!

And if you're not quick enough getting them (streaks) out you can fainting feel them up ya fingers when ya rub ya hand over it at the end of a set, even a good hard trowel won't save ya then as found out to me own demise!

A guy i know wont use multi finish, he only uses board finish and thats on most back grounds including normal walls. Try gibing this a try ?

Only pulled it of with no water twice I think
Have never used it , never had a problem that I couldn't put down to weather , heat sources or air circulation effecting set time,
Bung some water on the wall and you create inconsistent puddles of fines that you trowel across the wall ,.... WHY
Either taught that way by a genius or can't cope and should be putting less on

Dont deny you can do it with out water . I just cant . I dont chuck water on just tickle it with brush . And always use clean water

Just brush edges in and that usually gives me enough so lubricate my troweling up.
Only time I put water on the surface is if there’s a dodgy area that’s dried patchy or a tiger stripe developing usually late on with s*p*r*lex, break surface tension with brush and trowel over does the trick

Same just general brush in egdes which is usually enough maybe the odd touch of brush to wet up if needed, but just found recently even that's enough to bring the streak's out

I've done some bang average work lately that I would of been disappointed with when I hadn't long started up. Multi is s**t. Streaks with water, streaks without water, streaks if I trowel it earlier, streaks if I wait longer. f**k**g STREAKS! You get the idea

Nope
Lol

Glad your back on form @zombie , was a bit worried about your apparent joviality recently

Plastic trowel has been what has sorted the finish out for me...

In the past tiger stripes have only appeared when gear has gone on thick and not keeping your trowel clean when troweling up
