Re-skim

Because of time constraints I didn’t manage to complete a job to the finished standard I wanted. I did get to flatten everything, but just couldn’t get round to polishing.

Is it possible to skim over the plastered walls again, and if so how long should I wait before doing so?

Also, what should I use to seal the plaster on the wall already before re-skimming. The space I am working in is very cold and damp, so the drying time will already be longer than usual.

Thanks!

You lost me at " polishing " I'll go back and read the rest

5 minutes , I've gotta have a wee and fill me kettle for a brew and I'm gonna get hassled for hay by the pony , call it 10

So you f**k*d up. . If walls flat why you need to polish. If you did it yesterday try give it a bit of hard edge

Surely he could get a better response than that lads , what's this forum coming too , @lurpak , being hungover is no excuse for such a dismal slagging , and not even a pic from @Cockney1 , all in all its a poor show .
Now don't tell him how to dry out his wall before PVA , and certainly not about a wet coat first , I'm going for a cr.p and hope to see some improvement by the time I get back

Dunno why @Danny tells us off. You do realise all these ‘new’ members are just on the wind up, right?

I was trying to get it as smooth as possible that's all. What does give it a hard edge mean?
Try not to worry too much about smooth, flat matt is what you want. No hollows or tiger stripes. Every body works in different ways find your way to finish it. Try to look after your angles, run a trowel round them so they don’t curl. Make your next angles easier to clean.

It’s a wind up account!
