Kitchens cut boards first on opposites, rest mix up first. Unless there’s loads of sockets or pipes. Don’t do solid around the edge either unless it’s spec for suction test. 4 rows of 7 per board except skirt line that gets 5. Extra round sockets and solid over gas pipes.

[/QUOTE I’ve been trying cutting around 10 boards and leaving them in situ with a nail in .then mixing 3 bags sticking them on and using what’s left for reveals . Any more tips ?
 
Invest in a couple of these. 200mm and 500mm, god send for what I do.

I do as top does 4x7 ish , but solid top and bottom and around sockets and second fix areas , guess who pays for the Addy

Cut a good few and mix up.Six by four is twenty four behind each 8by4 slab.I know lads that only put 12 behind each slab.I have to say in the last year or say that sand and cement is making a huge comeback.And about time.
 
Plumber tapes all his pipes up that are touching cement then yellow gas on the gas pipe. Supposed to do it solid so the if it’s drilled through it comes out the hole and not fill the void.
Solid as in like this?
