I'm shocking at working out time to board full houses or big extensions. Do you work it out knowing you'll average a certain about of boards a day or just try and work it out per room? I know to within a set for a full house to skim it but just can't work out boarding accurately

To figure out how many boards. Allow for waste. Timewise i just know what i can do a day but absolutely hate boarding. Remember it’s better paid than skimming too

I dont mind boarding for a day then I hate it lol. Got around 100 sheets to put on in an extension. Half dot and dab half over new studs. I'm thinking around 7 days labour

U should be looking to do at least 15 to 20 boards a day minimum
If it's easy and straight forward and 2.4 m high could easy get on 30 + a day

Thought u was a lump lol? All u need is an impact driver
I’m big not stupid lol. It takes literally seconds to jack a board up and get a few screws in. Drop the lift then fire the rest of the screws in with a gun mate. I’m also a price work spread not a day rate dosser! #get it done! Hahahahaha.

Board lifter and screw gun is a must for jobs like that.
Yeah I've got a board lifter. Best £100 I've ever spent, saves so much time and paid for itself on first job I used it. Never forked out for a screw gun as I don't do all that much boarding, been tempted a few times though.

Lol, i had one years ago and was good on certain jobs but a hinderance on most for me anyway.

7 days probably isn't to far off then. 30 boards in a day for one man? I suppose realistic if it's all onto studwork at 1.2 centers and 2.4 high like you say. Don't get many jobs like though. Well I don't anyway!

It took me a while to invest in a screw gun too but the time saved when boarding is well worth it in the end mate.
