Hi, I’m newbie here and I need some advice. I’m not really a plasterer I’m a chef on 2 week holiday but forced by my wife I need to renovate my kids bedrooms in 1960 house. I’m on the stage of removing all the old wallpaper.
The walls don’t look that bad but I found a lot of very small cracks on the walls.
What’s the best way to palaster it. The old plaster sound like is nice sticking to the wall. My plan was to treat it with unibond super PVA glue first and after I would use one layer

of thistle multi finish plaster. Am I correct? Any advice. I’ll attach some photos of the walls. I would appreciate your help.
Many thanks Peter

Mate - get someone because you don't want it to look like a Polish chef plastered it, do you?

Plastering is too unforgiving, you can't just do it first go. As a chef I'd like to think you have high standards, you will be disappointed with what you do to that wall.

Get a plasterer round, walls might be blown.. tell him you'd like to do as much prep as possible.. then when he comes to skim it you could bake him a cake or something

I was writing mine when you posted that.

If I needed a wedding cake making that was gonna cost me £300, do you think that I'd do some overtime and pay you to do it or give it a bash myself and hope for the best?
It’s bad example. I don’t want to plaster the Backingham Palace, only 2x3 bedroom.

I can renovate bathroom. I thought I can do i bedroom to...

Tilings easist thing in world mate. Did some Sunday. My second attempt.

You can either trust us when we say plastering isn't straight forward or prove us wrong..

It's simply not as easy as it looks

Get it plastered . This weekend i got to cook 200 3 course meals for some heads of state . Me and 1 cook . Should i do tinned ravioli or real stuff

How many tins of heinze ravioli can you do at once . Or should i just use aldis own stuff
I was on the plastering mate, sous vide the wall! But since we are on the subject....... no difference I’ll guess , they all are s**t unless you make them from scratch . That’s the moment you realise you had s**t ravioli all your life .

Give it a go mate. You’ve got gumption and made a fair job of the bathroom. Pva, pva, skim and trowel.......worst case you’ll have to sand it smooth.
Good luck and all the very best.
Thanks mate !
Bought that today. My local plasterer is using that, he said it’s good for my needs. What do you think?

I think you got It all wrong. It's not the plaster you'll put on , it's the plaster you'll put it on you have to worry about
