Skimming that ceiling is just ridiculous that's an overboard all day long!

Sorry john but you shouldn't be skimming that...like chrispy said don't slam the doors on the way out....I couldn't give a shite if their a landlord they get told what work is needed and if they don't want it get someone else

Do you think he'll give a s**t it was a cheap bodge it falls off

I.ll be gone n paid. To be far we got a steamer so if it looks like we can have it of in a hour we.ll strip it first . Dont think it will hang about long on that ceiling anyways

I don't see why that's an over board? You pussies scared to skim anything over than board.

Pva it then scrape. Pva again Tight bonding coat let pull in that won't go anywhere. 2 coats multi.

If you can't successfully skim that then stick to skimming

15 mins scrape vs 2 hour over board jr mad

Lol how much work to your tactics PVA scrape PVA again bonding, it'll be boarded before your done trying to polish a turd

Here's one just done, had to level this n skim 10 meter long. The smaller room had been over boarded by last spread. I pulled it down to save over boarding the other 8 meters. Guess what was under it? Bit of artex .

Bonded out level to main room n skim lot perfectly flat . Never had one fall and all my works guaranteed

End result is same. Much more work to over board and should only be a last resort i see it all the time skimmers want to board everything

Might get away with it, might not

Flaky, dry and being a kitchen in a renter, prob greasy as f**k.

I'd being over boarding that one.
Landlord wants a cheap job, but will be quite happy for you to redo it at your own expense.

Well i must be if you and zombie say so..
At the end of the day each to their own and everyone has their method but I wouldn't skim it and if cheap landlord wanted it skimmed I'd just say no and move on

All i see is a skimming ceiling that's being papered.

He basically wants to over board because he can't be arsed to remove paper. Fair enough.

Id quick dash pva as this will peel the paper off, pva again ready to go in 20 mins. You'd still be bringing the boards in.

Proper preparation is the key. You clueless fucks just overboard everything i see it constantly especially with artex.

I remember one ceiling i went to was treble boarded.
