Hello all you spreads, I've been in the Damp proofing side of the trade for ever, 38 years.
I enjoy reading some of this stuff, some of it cracks me up, some of it makes me think, is there something i could still learn? At my age i would probably forget anyway.
Still working 6 days a week.
If i can help anyone, try me.

Nice! Welcome!
Damp proofing sometimes is the wettest topping on here. I am glad we have an official expert at last. I can tell you now- there will be some laughter :)

Welcome mate.
Question. .... when faced with a small damp patch with definite odour, what is the correct procedure for tackling it?
Do we do our best to fully uncover it, do we touch it to gauge the dampness, should we monitor it to see if it gets wetter.......or should we leave well alone?
