Just finished a whole house in thistle pure finish , client and myself happy with the outcome, imo it really is the best plaster available, no sanding or snagging at all , couple of shots from kitchen area painted up.

Thanks I know keep banging on about this pure but it’s so nice to trowel up 3 pallet of it used and another guy I know down south is on his 5th pallet is same it is slightly different I’ve used all the thistle skim coats available now and found they each are slightly different to trowel up but pure is definitely the easiest and nicest to use
It’s actually enjoyable

What is the setting time mate
Depends what I used over Andy basically 1.5 hr - 2, out of all the gauge s none have gone past 2hours ish , main thing that I like about it seems to pull in all the time not hang around waiting for next trowel , but is always workable, sometimes I’ve laid in with same mix and get great finish too

Nice 1 mate cheers

I know zombie mate you are right , had a really good few weeks skimming with it at the job , cheered me up honestly mean that , tried all of the thistle to find one I like or happy with all time and I found it is probably what I’m saying mate , spray finish was nice but reality is I ain’t gonna be using spray all time , uni well let’s be honest it’s not gone great in terms of reviews from some folks fair play , but I’m positive anyone who tries this pure won’t want to use anything else , well I’m definitely not , it’s spot on

What’s the process mate ? Two coats flatten and three trowels?

I asked Travis to get a couple bags in for a sample see what it’s like
Tbh mate I doubt they will get a few bags only a pallets worth, but give bg a call or message either Gary Blackburn ( @The Apprentice on here ) or Paul Mulanganie at bg hq, they will be able to sort you a few bags , there is another new demonstrator down south called Gary too he’s based in London area I think

That's pretty much how all skim plaster used to be.
