i thought that 15mm sound bloc boards on ground was standard practice.

Not in any of the volume housebuilders new builds I've plastered before malc
Unfortunately 12.5mm on 600mm centres is the standard practice for most of the big builders.

Little site of about 35 units for Abel homes its about 15mins from my house gibbo.
Gotta be honest it's actually a joy to go there mate it's one of cleanest and tidest jobs I've been on for a long while.
I just have to remember to wipe my feet every time I leave my plot(y).

Carried a couple of sheets of 15mm up the stairs at my own house once (on my own), nearly popped a bollock doing it.
Defo a board lifter for that, but still need two guys to get it on lifter.

Not one where you'd want to scrimp on screws!
