Potatoes and diesel for U boats in Cork and German spies in Dingle - radios for the IRA - who were thankfully too thick to figure out how to use them before Eamon DeValera found out what they were up to.[/QUOT

I think you denigrate all the work done by your countrymen in the matter. March where? Old joey was needed to keep the Bosch busy on the right while we smashed the f**k out of him from the left

Ahem.... from the air.

Bomber command probably did the most damage to Hitler's efforts, behind his own stupidity.

Yes from the air but we needed joe to keep him busy on the eastern front, so he couldn’t turn his army and more importantly his airforce on us

The planes were been flown by the poles at the end for Britain

Not the end. Polish pilots fought with distinction during a large part of the war.

303 sqn - the highest scoring sqn in BoB was established in 1940.

Polish pilots were behind shooting Luftwaffe men out of their parachutes in broad daylight over London - which didn't go down very well.

Best to keep it away from the public, then it’s ok ?

British airmen have historically/traditionally expressed no hatred for enemy pilots and been glad to see them bail out.

Where possible, enemy pilots have been guests of the mess before being taken away. This even happened in the Falklands.

Polish pilots had a reputation for being bloodthirsty rogues. They were often foolhardy with their aircraft, disobeyed orders and pulled stunts like that.

Yet Churchill ordered many murders of people who didn’t fit in with the ally’s image

Thank god for you paras then

The Russians aren’t ally’s anymore, odd because of one attempted poisoning or is there something we’re not been told
I think you may have omitted the last 78 years, having said that they recognised the bravery of the Balkan convoys before our own government did, same as ever
