True mate true , I seen these the other day , made in uk too , I’ve registered for one as they aren’t out yet but thought they would be good for when dabbing even on brick work when sockets wall mounted , especially kitchens when they go ott

Looks a sexy bit of kit how many millions is it for one of them?

That’s the catch unfortunately, got an email today estimated rrp atm £380 mate , includes 6 blade replacements doubles and singles.

I’ll stick to the chalk and bang technique. pad saw through.

f**k that mate!! if someone really wants to be anal about cutting boxes out then why not use a multi tool?? Same difference to me.

If you're going to fork out that sort of cash, you'd have to be the guy on site in the Hi-Vis with 'box cutter' written on his back!

I love my gadgets, but I think that one will be quite low down the list as I have a labourer to do boxes (though it says 'electrician' on his back).

@scottie5 send this to slap&dash that board in front of you.

Who needs gimmicks like that when you have these surgeon like skills with a padsaw.

I'd say that the biggest problem with that is that you'd have to be uber accurate with your measurements.

Face it. even if we had that bit of kit we still would cut the hole on the wrong side of the board 100000mm to high.

f**k**g hell does that include the drill and the labourer?
No mate , also have to check your drill is compatible with it ( I’ll have to re read that as I can’t remember what they said ) but if you look closer at the actual unit he is holding it has like a adjustable rod I think that stablelizes it when in action , for an extra 6 blade replacement pack they are coming in at £41 plus vat it has 3 double and 3 single socket cutters so I’m presuming the actual unit alone is roughly £300 , maybe price might lower once released

f**k that! multi cutter for me. 40 sockets into double fireproof boards and you need to change the blades. Way......way too expensive!

That’s about 270 to 280 pound too dear for me Vince

Nice bit of kit, might be attractive to full time boarders doing sound lock/fireline all the time

I can’t see myself cutting 12 sockets within the size of a board. That’s the maximum number of sockets I had to cut and it was two skin 15mm pink boards. The way you do it is you cut the sockets with 10mm smaller and the you finish them with the multi cutter. With this cutter you have no chance tbh. I want to seem them demonstrating this

On a job earlier this year we had ten boxes within one board.
I say "we" but I was busy doing something else that was very important, so my son had the pleasure.

I just cut a big F*****g massive foot oblong out and then fill it with adhesive!

Saves alot of swearing!
