i think your on the wrong forum

I think 16.25 an hour is a shocking rate for a time served tradesmen and it's people like you who will keep prices low. If you are self employed you have to be charging a minimum 200 a day for a decent wage and to cover expenses van, fuel, insurance etc

You've made me feel guilty for charging £350 for half a days work yesterday, I'll refund the customer tomorrow. NOT

It's a doggy dog world mate kids and bills to pays it's had to be done sorry yh before tax
It's people like you that are f**k**g it for honest hard working blokes that are trying to run a small business and keep their heads above water. What a CLOWN!!! :boxeador:

Each to their own I suppose, there`s being a good plasterer and then there`s being a good businessman

Add into that trying to be a good Husband/partner and also a Father providing for any kids
Loads of variables to take into consideration, are you going in low and wanting to always be in work but maybe not be able to stick much cash by for a rainy day?
Or do you hold it to a higher rate and aspire to having a nice pad in a good area like @Beenereb4 said?

Look after the trade and it will look after you

Just do yourself a favour.
Have a bit of self worth.
If you're good youll get the work.
Just put your prices up.
