The mainstream press seem to have put this to bed already with a landslide for the Tories. Would be interesting to see if it's mirrored on here. I'm thinking it's a lot closer than people think. Just like in the election voting is confidential.

Did you not see the local elections last week lol

Btw sod confidential I voted conservative

Four people.......all zealots in their own way.......possibly principled.....probably flawed......
Question is who do you trust?
Corbyn seems not to lie too much, but then he doesn't say too much either.
May says a lot but it is quite repetitive.
That libdem bloke likes the sound of his own voice but says nothing of substance.
The Scottish lady seems hell bent on having as many referendums as it takes to get her own way.......that seems dangerous to me.
On principles.....currently I go with Corbyn, despite the fact that in his earlier years he seemed to delight in always going against the government decisions no matter what......Trouble is he is not alone.....vote for Corbyn and you get a right load of shitheads as well....
We all know who we are gonna get with May.......possibly a few less shitheads, maybe not......
It will be tight.

Tight lol it's going to be a landslide

I was wondering today what might have happened if Chuka Ummuna hadn't dropped out of the labour leadership race. It would have been a complete alternative history. He would have won and Labour would be a viable opposition. Would probably win the election But there probably wouldn't be an election as May wouldn't have called one knowing she would lose. If she was the PM in the first place. This country needs a new party and proportional representation.

He dropped out coz he knew it would be suicide and he is a career politician.

Pmsl no he wouldn't the unions wanted Corbyn, what they say goes in labour

This place is like the BBC full of liberal loonies
I'm no liberal, might be a loony, but I have been predominantly Tory for all my voting life. I like the fact that despite his troubled time as leader, Corbyn has not
Been vindictive to those who voiced against him.......but..
At least I know what I 'll get with May......I find her principled as well, hard working, and tenacious, and at the moment she seems the better of the two.
And then there's the change....if Corbyn wins he'll be persuaded to make loads of changes ( see Trump and Obamacare).... and that will detract from the real job in hand......if May wins....she will be able,to "get on with it"..... so, on balance
It's May......still think it could be tight though.
Btw if Corbyn took a leaf out of Tony's book, employed Campbell, he would win.

Who smith? He was boring just like May and people got tired of it.
No, Ummuna. He was involved in some scandal getting Bangladeshies citizenship for money. Member of an old boys club buying £400 bottles of brandy. Same old. Yeah that Smith was a Tory in Labour clothing.

I'm not voting Labour. I'm politically homeless at the moment. But I would never vote Labour if they employed that whinging, self-pitying Teflon t**t. He has the blood of thousands on his hands David Kelly included and is on the radio and tv all the time moaning about his depression. No f**k**g wonder.

She has changed her mind so many times I don't see how you see her the way you do, she is hiding from the press, the public, her voters, the media and her opposition. Have a read of this it's embarrassing.

My point is that ......Corbyn on his own seems a good enough guy, but too red for me.....the shower he has near him could not help but fill their own boots if ever he got in power....they all would want to implement their own changes, (to spite the tories) and he would be steamrollered into letting them.....the ensuing shambles would be intolerable.......he just doesn't fill me with the confidence that he'd be able to cope.

Up to now he has won every election he was involved in, the support is at record numbers and growing and not just labour records. He has copes upto now with everything that has been slung at him and the biased media the way they portray him and lie, Which of his policies do you not like?

If either party did something about cutting or completely halting foreign aid, and holding a referendum on the future of the royal family, reintroducing the death penalty for pedophiles I might be interested.

Why do we give foreign aid to China? And India? And Pakistan? All of which have space programs. This is what the Tories have spent over the past few years. Christ knows what Labour would spend.

Currently £13 billion per year. Over £1 billion per month. And we're wondering how to fund schools and the NHS and pensions.

The Royal Family cost £350 million per year.

And how much do the royal family bring in through tourism ?

I do agree on foreign aid, whilst we are running a deficit no way should we be borrowing money to give away to other countries, the 0.7pc should be of any surplus run up by governments
