Hello all

Well use I have kept u all entertained for 30 seconds to look at the pics and think what a complete c**t! Lol.I no your are all laughing in your heads!!! I'd like to know you bad experiences when you started?

Get yourself in with a decent spread maybe help one out now and then to gain a bit of knowledge and learn some tricks. Just trying to help out.
Yep well that's what is was until both have let me down I have done loads and never had a problem

My bad if it's another spat. Never heard of it. Personally ly i Don't see fascination in spats etc on first coat, surely if coat on proper n neat, no need for flattening first coat.... Just not a common practice here that I have seen anyways. taught to first coat like you second coat. Anyways, let the pva dry bit more next time, should be easier than that mess. Lol

I will upload some pics in the morning of the outcome my friend tried to send few but no good shitty camera .

I think so I was thinking I think that's the problem! The house as had no heating for over a year now. but what I done understand was the wall pulled in the pva and whole was was lovely ready to go ! Layed on lonely plaster was hanging for a good while time it sort of pulling in I notice pva was bleeding through the multi I didn't really no what to do tbh so I tried to flatten than happens so I wanted for it to pull in a much as I could then put a slightly thicker second coat on just going up motion and across with trowel than was okay. Pulled in okay and troweled up fine I just don't get it .

Did you dilute your p.v.a? If so what ratio? And a bit of advice mate you never put your 2nd coat on thicker because it will just pull the 1st one off! :cachetada:

Cheers mate, wish some off you lot were this way because ur all helpful!☹️ And all know ur s**t!
We are not all bad. From what I've read you've taken the ribbing in good humour but there have been genuine helpful comments too. Stick around Harry you come across as a decent mush? We've all f**k*d up when we start out its how you learn and get experience even now after 30 years in the trade I have the odd bad day. Just don't lose your patience and don't give up (y)

cant agree more with that

When I have a first coat that slides I just let it go right off (hour or so) the heat from the plaster sets the pva then tiny bit of water and light flatten off. Bit of pva on top of this if necessary and then second coat. Works for me. Also if you get slidey bits up against archtrave where there's gloss on wall from where it's been painted (common) I usually run a bit of scrim on for grip.
