im in hospital chaps,, had a stroke yesterday and thought I was going to die. If one good thing has come from this it's made me think about not being obsessed with money and work and to prioritise my life around family and health the only things that reallymatter , thankfully my arms and legs still work and my speech and face is ok

s**t buddy, thats terrible...they said what caused it....34 is really young for something like that

I was obsessed with work thinking about jobs all the time and checking my bank balance every day thinking somehow it was a measure of how successful I was? All I need in life is my family and my health I'm going to change from now o and enjoy simple things like going fishing

f**k me. Hope u get out ok. There u go lads. U think working 6 days a week is enough. Or not going on holiday because you think you have to get a job finished. f**k all that. It sometimes takes something like this to make us see. Really hope you're ok mate your a good egg on here.

Glad you posted it up buddy and hope you keep us all informed going forward

Hell's teeth that's a shocker! Hopefully it'll be quickly sorted and you'll be able to avoid anything like it in the future.

Get well soon mate ,i was going thru Anxiety's last year June July August off on doing too much it's all f**k**g bollox, after that had blood tests heart checks over time too much stress so changed my work diet etc n hopefully for better

Think that's a wake up to us all!

I've found a great holiday place in Cornwall where there's no 3G signal so can't check emails etc. Felt so relaxed. As I Found when I was away in some places I would still sometimes just check emails then reply so in the end was technically working.
So easy to slip back into work mode when it's your business. Anyway rambling on here get well soon mate

Had the old woman been out shopping

I've been overwhelmed guys by all the nice messages I just want someone out there who is stressed to not worry I'm not working for a while Clemo I'm not allowed to drive and I won't get out of hospital until they know why this happened. I'm so proud of myself for seeing clarity and I managed to crawl into the kitchen when I was in the middle of having a stroke so my girls didn't see their daddy on the floor suffering, it really helps to talk about what happened

Just take it easy bud I had an ITA three years ago and just slowed the work right down your a young man take all the advice they give you and stick to it work takes a back seat at times like this hope you get well soon

Bugger @Cornelius mate! I know what you mean! I have been many times just step away from where you are at the moment. Decided to make a change and started with my diet few years ago - it gave me only more strength for more work! Last year I have decided I will
Slow down my work too and f**k me I had to do do it long time ago tbh . This Saturday I did 400 miles on the bike with my club and haven't felt so good for ages ! The only thing that matters is your family! Spending as much as possible time with them is the key! That's the only investment that never loses against time! Get well soon mate!
