Plastering Degree for me

Hate snobbery, don't know why some "educated" people look down their noses so much at tradesmen, site workers etc. Just because we didn't go on from school to uni or get an office job. I actually done a-levels, and went on to uni, but absolutely F*****g hated the place, had no interest in been there and dropped out after less than 6 months. I genuinely like my job, what I don't like is people in suits thinking they are better than us. You know the sorts, come in to sites for meeting and will barely make eye contact with us peasants, never mind break breath or respond to pleasantries. Bastards

Love it when people try and weigh you up :)

I am a scruffy bugger and nobody can quite decide where I fit :)

Dusty and oily and then some days dressed to impress :)

Degrees are worthless now because they made it to easy for people to get them... in the old days it was a big deal but it means nothing now.

My wife has a masters but even that is not a big deal either. ..

Im a scruffy f**k*r too. Rather relax in trackie and football top or something than something smart

Wow am I alone in turning up to jobs in a shirt and tie then ? nothing wrong in looking smart and doesn't make you a snob, you peasents

The shock on their faces when I tell them I'm an artist and a children's author is funny but when I tell them I moderate 20,000 members in a forum is better ;)

Is this your opening sentence to the customer when you first meet them?

Plasterer snobs are the worst - when they find out you learnt off the shovel. It's not like your local plastering college is Oxbridge!

I agree turning up presentable and leaving presentable is the way to go...
