Surely if its marshalltown its got to be better than the other flexy trowels?

No trowel I've ever owned or used has compared to a marshalltown

Or just get one of these at half the price. I love all my MT trowels but I think they are a bit behind the times with this lol

There's an empty desk at MT, in the top drawer are two trowels.......one is the Refina s*p*r*lex, the other is a Nela.........there is a hand written note there.....it says "had a good look at both of these boss, they seem too flexy and flimsy....I know my onions....these will never catch on..no action required".....

If mt wud of priced them compared to others there mite of been on to something but there pricing is just taking piss

i have had a marshalltown premier super flex for a couple of years now.
there is the premier with a wooden handle and the basic with the standard soft grip handle. there is a long tang and a short tang version of both trowels. the long tang has less flex then the short tang type.
the cheapest place to purchase these trowels is ebay . com [usa] or ebay canada. about £30 for the 13 inch version.

I think nela got this particular niche in the market sewn up at the moment. Anyone noticed the nela premium carbon listed on the website? I'm looking forward to hearing the reviews on that

Yep ..... interested, but I have too many trowels now. Just got the medi and a cheapo plastic from p1ss and have no where to put them in van

I'm sure they will all be hurting at the news of your boycott.
Can you stop dragging me back into this shite thread please,
Obviously don't know much about steel but I'll buy my steel British pal, stuff the Americans,Germans and the shite permashape china crap

Yeah I've got trowels in the garage that don't get used, just put my Refina super flex in the garage aswell. I'm using one trowel for everything at the moment skimming and rendering.

0.3mm will make it superflexy. The mediflex seems to be catching on now as an all round flexi so maybe marshalltown are lagging behind here.

There have been playing catch up for last few years now..still best steel trowel that's about it

@theplasterman the thing is vince british made used to be the trowels to use
now its marshal town extra lite or german everything else are cheap copies i only use plastic when doing top coat on ewi work any one using a plastic trowel for internal plastering is G**

These new MT's are a nice lookin trowel though. They're using rivets too! Aren't all the others using sticky stuff? There would definitely be no bonding issues with it.

They are stuck on like the rest mate, it's exactly same as nela flex with marshalltown handle
