I've had eczema all my life, very well controlled now not due massively to ointments however I do religiously put moisturiser called *epiderm* (prescription gear) after daily shower/bath.
Could just be a change in your stress levels or environmental changes that's what I feel has been a massive factor (splitting up with my ex of 11 years has cleared it right up [emoji23])
If I remember rightly epiderm has great moisturising properties like double base but also some anti bacterial within it.

A quick rinse with vinegar will also neutralize the alkaline. It doesn't moisturize but stops the burn.
I'll have you know I have the body of a god...........
I cannot begin to tell you how many times I've popped the old shirt off and heard women gasp "oh my god".........
