Should plaster be uniformly pale pink when dry or are some areas of colour variation normal? Had walls skimmed a week ago and given warm weather, would assume walls would be dry now but got a few areas like the attached pic which feel totally dry. Just keen to get the mist paint on. And re: mist coat am I right in thinking a contract matt, non vinyl paint is best to use?

Thank you. Don't worry about that socket...it's going to hidden by kitchen units so filler will be fine. No other sockets fitted so all good re rest of the room.
