anyone know anybody or has anyone come across/installed timber cladding over insulation in conjunction with their insulated render system

Yep, installed cedar wood and render panells. You can use 90mm celotex on the cedarwood substrate

this is a timber batten onto masonry with 50mm infill ins. then closed over with wood effect planks.
