An exciting role training current offenders in Level1 Drylining or Plastering, has arisen on a full time basis, contracted for 3months with the possibility of a permanent role on a circa £30k salary, to start mid February.

We are recruiting for this position on behalf of an inspirational training charity and social enterprise group who have an enormous impact on the lives of current and ex- offenders across the City of London.

Based in South and Central London, for over 3years the charity has worked with participants in custody and on release across London to help them obtain professional qualifications in various construction skills at NVQ Level 1 and 2. Their core objectives are to train and equip ex-offenders with skills, professional qualifications as well as help them gain an understanding of how to manage self-employment, benefits and tax so that they can move into the workplace with confidence and complete the transition from custody into paid employment. To date over 140 people have been through their training course and have achieved a re-offending rate of less than 12% against the national average of 60%.
