hello
Am looking to buy a Hotwire cutter . I've had one for 5 years but it's a been abused by the people that don't pay for them!!
It was from probeauteam in Germany
But just wondering what any of you lads use and are they good.
It's the machine and not the hand held one am after
Thanks

I got the battery and mains lead
There great but quiet big and bulky would like something a bit smaller

PFT Central and PFT Original have them, not sure if they will differ in size. They are all made to work with 1200/600. The size can be reduced if you attach it to the scaffold and not using the main stand, appart from that anything smaller can be pita to work with.

The one I had was good but I find working on the scaffolding with it a pain.
I spend more time setting it up
You can get the scaff brackets for the inotec and you also don't have to pull the harp back to cut its on a handle that moves up an down moving the wire back and forth

The onotec 3 looks good. I borrowed a hot wire cutter but found it didn't do 1200 boards only 1000.

How do you cut them now? With a saw?

I thought most sites insist on hot wire cutters due to the mess?

Got a handheld hot knife. Poly balls get everywhere.

Depends on site conditions as to if I use a hand saw or not.

Do you still get the poly balls with a hot knife? Or is it just not as bad
